Artist Description
This is my earth seed, my tree carving, dream story. I imagine this in my mind as a seed to the first Biyala (red river gum) growing up to be a dunguludja (strong) tree for which our Yenbena (our people) would've made a Matha (canoe) to cross the Walla (water). Once the Matha was carved, they would carve into the tree to Nanyak (dream) and Witedja Gowidji ( leave behind) a story and a welcome.
