Fine Bone China Plate: Red Dots x Louise Bourgeois
Details
Third Drawer Down Studio has created a set of four fine bone china plates in collaboration with Louise Bourgeois' studio, The Easton Foundation. The imagery on each plate is from Louise's fabric book Ode à l'Oubli (2004), featuring collages made from fragments of her old clothing and household items.
Each plate design is sold individually, gift boxed, with a postcard included.
About the Artist
Louise Bourgeois was a French-born American artist who gained recognition late in her long career. Throughout her life, she created many psychologically charged abstract sculptures, drawings and prints. She lived until the age of 98. Third Drawer Down first collaborated with her in 2008 for a retrospective at the Tate Museum. We have continued an on-going relationship with her trust, The Easton Foundation, to produce a series of objects inspired by her work, available here.
