John Nixon Song of the Earth Catalogue

This publication is a companion to John Nixon: Song of the Earth 1968–2020, the first major survey to trace Nixon’s career from his beginnings as a minimal and conceptual artist, through to his striking 1980s installations combining paintings with readymade objects, and into the final decades of his life.

This publication includes a suite of exhibition and archival photography, a Director’s Foreword by Lesley Harding, and essays by co-Curators Sue Cramer and Melissa Keys, Artists and Contemporaries Peter Tyndall and Tony Clark and Art Histories David Pestorius, Helen Hughes, Francis Plagne, David Palliser and Michael Graf.

*Please note the John Nixon catalogue has been designed with the intention of mimicking the materials used by this artist. This is why the spine has intentionally been left unfinished.
