A Little Taste Outside Of Love Scarf x Mickalene Thomas
Details
Third Drawer Down Studio are thrilled to welcome distinguished visual artist, filmmaker and curator Mickalene Thomas to the Third Drawer Down Studio catalogue. The scarf features the artwork 'A Little Taste Outside of Love', whereby Thomas has recreated Edouard Manet's famous work 'Olympia', replacing the subject of the white female nude with an African American woman. This work embodies Thomas's continued interest in producing artworks which visualise the black woman's relationship art history and to contemporary culture.
